More 6 Person Block Volleyball images
In the six vs six person game a team commits a foul if one of their backrow players tries to come to the front row to help block a ball. Volleyball block rules state that only three front row players are eligible to block a ball in the front row during a rally.
Volleyball players use a technique referred to as a block to stop an attack, usually a spike, from the opposing team. To perform a block, players jump, reach high beyond the net with their hands and stop the ball from coming across. To be a legal block, players must follow specific rules or a violation may occur.
To block in volleyball, stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, with your hips square to the net and your knees slightly bent. This will keep you ready to jump at all times. Keep your arms high with your palms facing the net, but stay at least a half arm’s length away from the net to avoid getting a penalty.
A team competes with 6 players, however, minimum number of players is 3. All players must be registered and checked in before the game begins. Rock/paper/scissors determines which team receives the choice of either the serve or the court. The best of three games will win matches.
Volleyball blocking is defined as deflecting the ball coming from your opponent's attack hit. Blocking is a skill in volleyball used to prevent the opponent from a successful attack hit. A block technique is used to deflect the ball coming from an attacker. The blocker is trying to block the ball back into the opponent's court.
One person may play the ball twice during a volley but not twice in succession. A ball, other than a serve, may be recovered from the net provided the player avoids contact with the net and does not catch or hold the ball. Contact of the ball during blocking action does not count as one of the three team hits.
Only 6 players on the floor at any given time: 3 in the front row and 3 in the back row. Points are made on every serve for the winning team of the rally (rally-point scoring). Players may not hit the ball twice in succession (a block is not considered a hit). Ball may be played off the net during a volley and on a serve.
